New Year’s Day Football Bets

I didn’t get a chance to bet any college football yesterday, which given how I performed last week, was probably a good thing. Here are my bets today, tomorrow, and in the title game.

NCAA

Florida (-3) vs Iowa

Western Michigan (+8.5) vs Wisconsin

USC (-7.5) vs Penn State

Oklahoma (-3) vs Auburn

Clemson (+6.5) vs Alabama

Alabama is basically the Monstars, but with Earl Boykins at point guard. Jalen Hurts is a real threat running the ball, but he’s closer to the JT Barrett’s of the world than the Deshone Kizer’s, Mitch Trubisky’s, and Deshaun Watson’s of the world. They should have been up by at least four scores at halftime, but Lane Kiffin’s playcalling enabled Hurts to just kill Alabama with all the plays you would expect from a freshman playing the biggest game of his life.

NFL

New England (-7.5) @ Miami

Houston (+3) @ Tennessee

NY Jets (+3.5) vs Buffalo

Minnesota (-6) vs Chicago

NY Giants (+7.5) @ Washington

San Diego (+6.5) vs Kansas City

Seattle (-11) @ San Francisco

Denver (-1.5) vs Oakland

I won’t say much about Kubiak here, you’ll have to read me at Predominantly Orange for that, but I think it’s safe to say that this team will play its ass off for him in a bittersweet sendoff.

Green Bay (-4) @ Detroit

6 point teaser (at -110 odds)

Last Week NCAA: 6–9

Season NCAA: 62–70–5

NCAA Parlays: 1–10

Last Week NFL: 3–7

Season NFL: 44–42–1

NFL Teasers/Parlays: 12–8
